MY 3 favorite lessons
This class, taught by Professor Brady, was really amazing. Throughout the whole semester, we went over a lot of things, and there were a few that stuck out to me more than the rest of them. Although there were a few, they were all still great things to listen to, learn, and write about. The three lessons I would like to discuss are the Lovers in Literature intro, A Streetcar Named Desire, and the poetry unit. These three were just able to showcase the most knowledge to learn for the best things I can relate to.
LESSON #1
The lovers and literature intro was one of my favorite lessons because, to start the year, it talked about all the characteristics of how love is seen and portrayed as someone who has a very big heart. It was great to get a better understanding of it, and I want to understand the lover world better. Also, the part that I found interesting is that there are so many ways people use their love story and express it to the world, and then it turns into masterpieces. And I just really love starting the year learning how it's done and what people do just to express how they feel towards someone or something through love.
LESSON #2
My other favorite lesson was when we read the book A Streetcar Named Desire. So this book was really interesting and supprising towards the way I interpreted it because of what ist about and how it's written. This love story, through both characters, I found interesting because the time period plays a big factor in why their relationship is the way it is for the characters. It's also something I've never seen before when it comes to writing because this book is told from how the author's situation was similar to, but also the fact that he equally uses all three characters and defines love from one to another, while also showing how you can love someone even when they aren't the same way or don't treat you the same. That's when he developed the great time period to display how strong a woman's love is for their man, no matter what happens. So overall, that story was my favorite one that we read and talked about all semester.
LESSON #3
And the poetry lesson, although we didn't really get to touch on it a lot in class, I still really liked it. It is very interesting because of the way people put their feelings out there. I also like how it is very similar to music, and it makes whoever is writing it make their voice be heard by others in a way that they want it. Also, poetry is a very nice text because of the way they use rhyme, sound tones, and metaphors to express even more.
Nice Work !
